We folk in the mountains know better than to think it's spring in the middle of Feb, but oh how those couple weeks of sun and snowmelt gave us hope! It is snowing ever so beautifully today, and it is the first big snowfall we have had for a month.

I love snow. The flakes are large today and ever so graceful. It makes the home extra cosy, and sitting and drinking tea while watching out the window is so calming to the soul.

I have needed this day of peace. It has been a rough week with us all being sick, but today has brought me some tranquility that was so needed to restore this tired mama.

I had to pop into the garden to rescue the mini hoop tunnel as the snow is falling quite quickly. 

I suppose that would be the only downside to winter gardening, even though there is no weeding there's still the brushing and shovelling the snow off every snowfall!
